Belgian filmmaker Meltse Van Coillie, inspired by music from Dirk Brossé, explores a world of men and pigeons acting oddly, lost in quiet contemplation, and seemingly anticipating an unknown event. The film questions the power dynamics between them – who is watching whom, and who poses a threat? This short is part of the 2x25 Project from Film Fest Gent and the World Soundtrack Awards. The project asked 25 composers to create original music, which then inspired 25 filmmakers to craft short films where music and visuals are perfectly intertwined, embodying the festival's core values. The result is 25 remarkable films where the music shaped the story, style, and atmosphere.
