My Winter Journey (2003)

A refined man in his forties agrees to take his best friend Anna's fifteen-year-old son, Itvan, on a trip to Berlin, a journey he calls Winter Journey. They drive through snowbound Germany, traveling through cities and countryside. As they go, Itvan learns about Germany's past and the ongoing process of reunification. The journey includes poetry, culture, and classical German music. Encounters with the man’s past and unexpected events reveal more about his life to Itvan. Upon reaching Berlin, their paths diverge. Itvan watches the man depart, carrying a sense of melancholy. Yet, their shared journey has forged an unbreakable bond between them, forever changing Itvan.
