Femmes Tiv du Nigeria (2002)

In Nigeria, women of the Tiv ethnic group in the villages of Apir and Fiidi, Benue State, strive for economic independence through farming and market sales. In 1987, the Nigerian government, with support from the United Nations and local women's groups, launched the "Family Support Programme" to encourage women's organization and cooperative ventures.
