The Last Self-portrait (2018)

After 13 years without making a film, Slovak director Marek Kuboš returns with a self-portrait. This introspective meta-documentary is a reckoning with his past, a review of his achievements and setbacks, and a final goodbye to his characters. More than a study of a creative block, it's a personal journey of healing and an attempt to define himself during a period of uncertainty. Leading Slovak documentary filmmakers appear as Kuboš’s consultants throughout.
