Description:
In a cafe, conversations manifest as visible balloons of words. An older waiter attempts to engage a young woman engrossed in a book, but she dismisses him, instead becoming animated in conversation with a young man. Unbeknownst to the patrons, a dog discreetly drinks beer and wine from various tables. A group of older men discuss past romantic encounters until one is interrupted by his wife. The young couple argues; he departs despite her pleas. The waiter tries to intervene. The older men eventually fall asleep. Women chat amongst themselves. Later, while cleaning up, the waiter discovers the young woman's book and sighs, as the dog sleeps soundly.
