Sting: The Journey & The Labyrinth: The Music of John Dowland (2004)

Sting's deep fascination with an Elizabethan composer is explored in this new 80-minute music documentary. He recounts the journey of this inspiring project, from its beginnings to completion. Directed by Jim Gable, Sting’s frequent collaborator and director of his previous DVDs, the program offers a behind-the-scenes look at Sting learning the music with his teacher Richard Levitt and rehearsing with lutenist Edin Karamazov in his Tuscan villa and at his Elizabethan home and gardens near London. The DVD features Sting's previously unreleased live performances from London and New York, interviews with Dowland experts, a photo gallery, and a bonus CD of live recordings.
