Through the recollections of those who knew him, we see his profound belief in connecting life across generations, reflected in the immense time commitment of his work. The film offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of temple construction. Nishioka, considered the last of the great temple carpenters, oversaw major repairs at Horyuji Temple during the Showa era and was present for the reconstruction of Yakushi Temple in 1990.
