The Red Toy (2004)

Walking to school through a poor neighborhood in Jerusalem, a young Arab boy discovers a small, red electronic game. He plays with it as he goes. Security cameras record him. At school, a teacher takes the game away, and then Israeli soldiers confiscate it. The game's journey continues – to a café owner, a Japanese tourist, a nun, an Orthodox boy, and others. Its lights and sounds spark suspicion and unease wherever it goes. Is it safe to carry something so simple in this world?
