Gilded Youth (2001)

Spring 2000. Gwenaëlle and Angéla, seventeen and eighteen, are friends living in the suburbs of Paris. With summer approaching, they submit a project to the Youth Department that is approved and funded: a trip across France to photograph people's homes. They ask strangers to pose in front of their houses for portraits. Back at school, an exhibition is held at the town hall. Curious and closer as friends, they meet people from all walks of life, expanding their perspectives and embracing new possibilities. Their journey is full of adventures, and sometimes, encounters lead them to linger in one place for days.
