After school, a teenager returns home, feeling isolated and annoyed. He exchanges a simple text message with a friend, launching a real-time portrayal of digital communication. This experimental film documents the flow of incoming and outgoing messages, offering a contemporary look at relationships in the age of texting. *Letter* is the directorial debut of Sasaki Yusuke, a 17-year-old Japanese artist, filmmaker, and scholar at the time. It received the Grand Prix at the Image Forum Festival Tokyo in 2003 and was screened at the 2004 International Film Festival Rotterdam. Sasaki holds a doctorate from Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently a lecturer at Tottori University.
