The Dark Ages (2007)

Starting with the fall of Rome in the fifth century, this History Channel presentation explores the Dark Ages. It details the widespread chaos across the continent, including attacks by Vikings, Vandals, and Visigoths, as well as the bubonic plague, famine, and civil unrest. The program follows Europe from this turbulent period to the start of a new era, as the turmoil ultimately leads to the Crusades, the Enlightenment, and the Renaissance.
