Yatsuhakamura (2019)

Set during Japan's Sengoku period and extending into the Taisho era, the story follows a pattern of brutal violence: eight samurai are killed by villagers, followed by a massacre of 32 villagers in the Eight-Tomb Village by the head of a prominent family. Terada Tatsuya, long estranged from his family, returns as its heir, but his return unleashes a series of tragic murders targeting family members – grandfather, half-brother, monks, nuns, and more. The truth behind these killings remains hidden. While investigating, Tatsuya discovers a vast cave system containing a wax figure of his family head in samurai armor. Simultaneously, Kindaichi uncovers a secret about Tatsuya's birth and arrives at the same cave. There, Tatsuya is confronted by villagers who believe he is cursed.
