Border (2002)

A woman dressed in black dances with fierce focus before a grave. Her movements eventually carry her away from the burial site and along the fence of a US military base that runs across the island. Filmed with an almost instinctive approach, the video explores the doubts and anxieties she experiences daily. Border concludes on Henoko beach in Nago, a location at the center of debate due to plans for a new American base.
