Wild Horse, Wild Ride (2012)

The annual Extreme Mustang Makeover pits horse trainers – experienced professionals and amateurs alike – against each other in a competition to tame wild mustangs. The goal: to help these horses find new homes outside of government holding facilities. This film follows several participants during the 2009 competition, from their initial, tentative encounters with their horses through the challenges of training and the eventual adoption process. It’s a story about the powerful connection that can form between humans and animals.
