Filmtagebuch 2004 (2004)

For over fifty years, starting in 1972, the filmmaker has documented everyday life in "My Filmdiaries." The film consists of images—clouds, train stations, water, shadows, flowers, stairs, trees, rails, and people—captured with a Super 8 camera. These images, always at 18 frames per second, focus on light, form, and movement, arranged as they were originally filmed, in both color and black and white. The only sound is the projector's hum, punctuated by audience reactions like questions, exclamations, coughs, laughter, or snippets of conversation in the darkened room.
