Sonny Boy (2004)

Soleil Moon Frye directs this personal film about her complex relationship with her father, actor Virgil Frye, who is battling Alzheimer's disease. The film follows them as they travel across the country, revisiting key moments from his life – from his early work on *Easy Rider* and impersonating Elvis, to his civil rights activism in Alabama and his time in Iowa. As their journey progresses, Mr. Frye’s condition deteriorates, making it increasingly challenging for both of them to navigate their present and memories.
