Following the Y2K scare, and amidst growing anxieties about conspiracy, cults, and disease, Adam Chodzko's *Plan for a Spell* captured the feeling of a time of great uncertainty. Twenty years later, Chodzko’s updated work remains as enigmatic and unpredictable as before, yet it also feels strikingly relevant to our current strange era.
