Description:
"Wayne County Ramblin'" blends history, stories, and truth to explore the landscape of a diverse creole nation. This road movie follows Penny and her boyfriend Johnny as they travel south to find Penny's grandfather, Simon, who is rumored to be living in Mississippi. After being robbed, they meet Jim, another Michigander traveling to Mississippi to find traces of William Faulkner. Initially helpful, Jim creates complications as tensions rise between the three young Americans. Unbeknownst to them, West African spirits guide their journey, helping them discover who they truly are.
