Between (2006)

In-hi Hwang, a 28-year-old woman, suddenly becomes paralyzed from the neck up, with no explanation. Adding to her troubles, her family is plagued by a series of accidents, which she believes are a curse. Seeking answers, In-hi visits Hae-kyung Lee, a shaman, and discovers she is destined to become one herself. Korean shamans act as a bridge between the living and the spirit world, sometimes offering guidance, other times delivering messages from otherworldly deities. Often ostracized, they have served as intermediaries for millennia, burdened by their unique gift.
