Description:
Hay stars as Professor Benjamin Tibbetts, an educator from the Teaching & Welfare Institution for the Reformation of Pagans, determined to bring education to colonial Africa. While arriving (still studying the local language), Professor Tibbetts is tricked into smuggling a gin still into the country by a local prince. He then arrives at Kombooli High, where students combine traditional clothing with British school uniforms, and Tibbetts adapts to the heat with a mortarboard and safari shorts. When the Commissioner falls ill, Tibbetts assumes his duties, including tax collection. Upriver, he joins Harbottle and Albert on an old paddle steamer and they rescue a baby from a deadly sacrifice.
