Description:

Kay lives a monotonous life in a quiet rural town. One night, she encounters Bob Dakin, a wealthy and attractive young man who, while intoxicated, asks for directions and then invites her out. She enjoys his company, and when the drunken Bob proposes marriage, Kay readily agrees. The next morning, sober Bob regrets his impulsive decision. However, his parents insist they enter a sham marriage for six months to avoid scandal, with the intention of divorcing afterward. Bob resents Kay for disrupting his plans with his fiancée, Priscilla, but Kay holds onto hope that he might change his mind.
