Kontakthof – Ein Stück von Pina Bausch (2014)

"Kontakthof" brings together many elements of Pina Bausch's work, all within a single space. A large, open room is set up like a dance school, with rows of chairs for the audience, where men and women sit together. Gradually, people stand and interact, some cautiously, others passionately. The dance floor is sometimes occupied by a couple, other times by the entire 30-member cast. Created by Bausch and her company in 1978, "Kontakthof" is one of four dances filmed in its entirety for Wim Wenders' documentary "Pina."
