Pragma (2022)

"Pragma" is a mother-daughter story unfolding over the course of a single day. The strained relationship between Juli and Lili, and Lili's unmet need for her mother's genuine affection, is subtly represented by Lili's physical reaction to her mother's cooking during their birthday lunch. A drama with moments of dark humor, the film explores the roots of this dysfunctional dynamic, centered on the grandmother’s emotionally restrictive upbringing of Juli, which made it difficult for her to express unconditional love.
