Description:
This strange, stop-motion film mimics an animated children’s show but uses live actors, creating a Claymation-like aesthetic that surpasses even Pee-Wee's Playhouse in realism. Davey is punished with a belt for reporting a bear sighting – a true event – while his sister watches happily. His dog, Goliath, is actually a leopard-skin footrest with a tail and also gets whipped while trying to help. The film features Oedipal dream sequences and Davey’s vengeful plans, all woven into a darkly humorous suburban nightmare.
