Description:
This emotional drama unfolds through flashbacks, detailing the events that led a 22-year-old Czech Gypsy to prison. Marian grew up with an alcoholic father and neglectful mother, leading to his placement in a government orphanage. There, he was considered a problem due to his difficulty with the Czech language, and life offered little warmth or comfort, sometimes becoming harsh. A kind teacher offered him hope, but a disciplinary incident resulted in Marian stabbing her. Released from juvenile detention as a teenager, he experiences love for the first time but struggles to understand it. By then, the hardships of his institutional life seem to have destined him for a criminal path, leaving him with no way back.
