Description:
Over ninety years, this story follows a middle-class Muslim family across three generations. In 2042, six months after his manuscript, "Tees (30)," is rejected, young freelance worker Anhad Draboo meets Niharika, a reader from the Commission who has been searching for him since reading his work. In 2018, Zia Draboo, a Mumbai-based corporate lawyer planning to buy a flat for her partner Meera, discovers the Housing Society won't allow her to purchase it under her name. From 1989-90, Ayesha, a newsreader confined to her home in Srinagar, Kashmir, asks her childhood friend Usha to help her husband, a government official. He is needed to assist her husband, Ghulam Muhammad, who is facing financial ruin amidst growing unrest in the city.
