Description:
Winter 1944, the war's final days. As roads and homes vanished and cellars became shelters, fortunes were lost and countries were destroyed, a coat was only important to Mama, a cloakroom servant at a dance school. Her son stole it to sell for twenty pengő – because Aranka Fussbaum’s love demanded payment. Honor is scarce in this ravaged world. Yet, they begin searching for that coat. (Elemér Ragályi won Best Camera at the Montreal Film Festival in 1979 and in Budapest in 1980.)
