Description:
In Paris, aspiring photographer Ferdinand falls for Claire, a pickpocket. Soon after, he's attacked for photographing her with Brady, his sponsor. Police officer Lorenzi investigates, but Ferdinand, in love with Claire, hesitates to turn her in. However, a stolen item she gave him becomes evidence, leading to her imprisonment for a year. Upon her release, Ferdinand marries her. Ferdinand's new boss, Kerman, hires Claire for his cabaret, where she performs a popular act of pickpocketing and then returning the stolen items. Brady reappears, demanding 80% of Claire's earnings or he'll reveal she's still married to him. Ferdinand plans to escape with his wife, but finds her and discovers Brady's dead body, killed by Claire.
