Description:
Don Monza, a young nobleman, is discovered by the nun Virginia de Leva while flirting with a fellow nun across a garden wall and is harshly rebuked. Hearing rumors of Virginia's affair with her trustee, he orchestrates a duel and murders the trustee to take his place. Despite her initial disapproval, Monza wins Virginia's heart and they begin a relationship. Their affair is soon revealed, but Monza, deeply in love, fights to maintain it.
