Description:
In 1932, during Prohibition and a rising eugenics movement, Vermont enacts a law authorizing the forced sterilization of people deemed "idiots, imbeciles, feeble-minded, or insane and likely to reproduce." A young woman and her husband, who make a living raising sheep and working in the lumber industry, experience a period of quiet life. However, they are drawn to a rural clinic where they become victims of the doctors' and eugenics workers' cruel agenda. This small family's life is irrevocably changed.
