Description:

This story follows the McKinley family, who perform vaudeville. Myrtle McKinley, a 1900 graduate, travels to San Francisco for business school but finds herself working in a chorus line. She catches the eye of star Frank Burt, who hires her for a short engagement and then marries her. The film explores the challenges of their marriage and the coming-of-age experiences of their eldest daughter, Miriam, all punctuated by musical performances.
