Description:
Since its introduction in 1968, the resident card is widely seen as a tool of state control, used to classify and monitor citizens. Fingerprinting is presented as a mandatory step, necessary to gain basic rights and responsibilities. The film follows a director who has been opposing fingerprinting since 2000, documenting his journey leading up to an administrative lawsuit. It explores the government's justifications for the resident card alongside the arguments of those who oppose it.
