All Tomorrow’s Parties (2022)

In 1990, as Beijing prepares to host the Asian Games, Zhou lives a simple life caring for her mother, finding joy in supporting the Games rather than pursuing popular trends. Li Mo chafes against his parents' expectations of factory work, preferring to write poetry and travel – passions largely misunderstood in China at the time. Returning from a trip, he's pulled back to reality. He encounters Zhou, and they discover shared, everyday experiences, hinting at a deeper understanding and the possibility of friendship.
