We communicate through thought, speech, and writing – language defines us. Of the 6,500 languages spoken globally, many are disappearing. "Voices of the World" explores the diverse nature of these languages: those used in conflict, those on the brink of extinction, languages of marginalized communities, youth slang, and newly created dialects. The film examines how globalization threatens them all.
