Loaded (2014)

Dane Reynolds stars in Marine Layer Productions' latest surf film, "Loaded," a 23 minutes and eight seconds collection of vintage surf footage. While the original video was shot with high-quality cameras, Reynolds prefers a grainy, lo-fi aesthetic. "Loaded" began after his film "Slow Dance," initially intended as a documentary of the premiere tour, but evolved into a collection of clips with Taylor Knox, presented without context. Joining Reynolds, the Ventura surfer seeks out the world's least crowded surf spots alongside fellow surfers Craig Anderson, Taylor Knox, Noa Deane, and Nat Young. The film's soundtrack complements its retro style, eschewing slow motion and modern equipment.
