Desert Monster (2022)

In the early years of the Republic of China, the Northwest Science Society's Institute of Biology received a cryptic letter detailing mutant creatures plaguing the sandy sea. An exploration team was dispatched to the biology lab but nearly eradicated. Liu Mengxi and Xia Xuan are the sole survivors, escaping with samples. They reach Sand Dune Town, only to find their specimens damaged and their resources dwindling. The town is populated almost exclusively by the elderly and infirm. Meanwhile, outside the town, the monsters appear to sense their presence and begin approaching Sand Dune Town.
