The Kill Five (2002)

The Kill 5 celebrates Kelly Slater. The film features two surfing sessions: an interview where Slater discusses surfing in Tahiti, followed by a session at a unique wedge wave in California. Slater repeatedly drops in over the lip, executing precise turns and reaffirming his status as the world's top surfer. Filmed in 16mm, the film also includes footage of Tom Curren surfing at his private spot in Santa Cruz Harbor, Kelly Slater at a secret California location, Ratboy in Indonesia, and Flea surfing Mavericks. Plus, Shawn Barney Barron performs the unprecedented maneuver, The Barrel Roll – a full 360 standing up inside the wave's tube, a feat never replicated.
