Description:

Five thousand years ago, the ancient Egyptians achieved remarkable feats of engineering. Their temples, fortresses, pyramids, and palaces pushed architectural boundaries and demonstrated the power of their advanced civilization to the world. This two-hour special uses cinematic recreations and CGI to explore these achievements and the pharaohs and architects who led them. It features Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara, Senusret's Nubian Superfortresses, Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple at Dier el-Bahari, Akhenaten's city at Amarna, and the temples of Ramesses the Great at Abu Simbel.
