Short Cut Grass (2023)

On a warm early summer evening, children play a game of hide-and-seek in suburban gardens, one counting to three thousand. Meanwhile, a young father spends the day with another person's child, an elderly man awaits a life-altering phone call, and the future of a year-long friendship hangs in the balance. The game concludes as mosquitoes emerge from the grass.
