Description:
Argentinian filmmaker Melisa Liebenthal's second film explores existential anxiety through the story of Marina, a young woman who wakes up to find her face has inexplicably changed. She becomes unrecognizable, even to her own mother, who treats her like a stranger. This forces Marina to grapple with questions of identity: Who is she, really? Is she defined by her genetics, her documents, or the people who love her—including her Colombian boyfriend? And does her altered appearance change how she is perceived? The film blends surreal humor with this profound exploration of self.
