Summer 1975 (2016)

The film chronicles one year from the filmmaker's fragmented past. Rotoscoped animation blends with stills and live footage to build an ambiguous narrative centered on events of 1975, a deeply formative year for the then 13-year-old. He fell in love with animation, collaborating with his best friend to create his first animated film during a solitary summer. It was also the year of his first sexual experience with his best friend, a period marked by intense excitement, confusion, fear, and isolation.
