Shinigami no Yaiba (2010)

Jiro Kanbara (Yasukaze Motomiya) is a down-on-his-luck small-time criminal in his mid-thirties, with no real prospects. His boss (Tomorowo Taguchi) tasks him with assassinating Onijima (Hitoshi Ozawa), a powerful figure in a rival group, and Jiro succeeds. But the man he killed unexpectedly reappears. Jiro finds himself seemingly possessed by Onijima, who now dictates his actions. As Jiro follows these instructions, he quickly climbs the ranks of the yakuza, gaining power, women, and a life mirroring Onijima's. However, this newfound life is unsustainable.
