Description:
Eight-year-old Aaron Averhart is on the cusp of becoming a Boy Scout when he receives a personal invitation from a respected leader, William (Bill) Sheehan. As Aaron progresses through the ranks, he gradually becomes aware of Sheehan's inappropriate behavior, realizing he harbors dangerous intentions. Had Aaron’s parents known that the Boy Scouts of America had maintained secret files on known child predators since the 1920s, and had failed to inform the public, the police, the Scouts themselves, or Aaron’s family, they would never have permitted him to participate in such a deeply flawed organization.
