The Cord of Life (2023)

Alus, a Mongolian electronic musician struggling with his direction in life, feels compelled to bring his mother back to the grasslands. She lives in his brother's city apartment, and he can't bear to see her confined there. He hopes to reunite her with the home she longs for. As her Alzheimer's progresses, Alus ties her to him with a rope to prevent her from getting lost. The rope becomes a link to her memories, their homeland, and his own cultural identity.
