Description:
In 1943, Colonel Greg Brandon, serving with the U.S. Army Air Forces in England, persistently argues for large-scale daylight bombing to shorten World War II. His plan is eventually approved for an attack on a German aircraft factory, despite the mission's immense challenges. However, Brandon’s insistence on standard bombing procedures during preparations strains his relationships with his crew and colleagues, including Lieutenant Archer and Wing Commander Howard, and his girlfriend, Lieutenant Ames. When his own plane crashes on the day of the raid, Brandon joins a bomber led by Archer and Howard. During the successful attack, he witnesses Archer's bravery and Howard’s skillful leadership.
