Description:
In 1980, In-Soo Radstake left Seoul for Holland and was adopted by a Dutch couple. Now, he embarks on a journey to discover his true identity, connecting with eight other people who arrived in Holland on the same flight as him. He also returns to the Seoul orphanage where he was raised, comparing his experiences with those of his fellow adoptees. Radstake grapples with questions of belonging: is he Dutch or Korean? He feels Dutch, but wonders if this is due to suppressing his Korean heritage. Initially focusing on his fellow adoptees, the documentary gradually becomes deeply personal, exploring whether he's searching for his biological mother. The film culminates in a reunion of the nine South Korean adoptees, exactly twenty-five years after their arrival in Holland, now as adults. Written by Fu Works.
