The Blueprint (2002)

"The Blueprint," a 45-minute action documentary directed by Chad Campbell, follows the surfing career of Shane Dorian across Hawaii, Tahiti, Indonesia, Australia, and Fiji. According to Dorian, the film features recent footage from the past six months, filmed before his Billabong Odyssey training camp. The movie showcases surfing by Conan Hayes, Kelly Slater, the Irons brothers, Taj Burrow, Pat O'Connell, Dan Malloy, Sunny Garcia, Taylor Knox, Ross Williams, Rob Machado, Brian Pacheco, Mick Fanning, Kalani Robb, Benji Weatherley, and Donavon, alongside interviews with Dorian and others. "The Blueprint" is Campbell's second directorial project; his first film, "the 5th Symphony Document," won Surfer Magazine's "Video of the Year" award in 2001.
