In The Still Of The Night (2003)

This drama follows two couples whose lives unexpectedly cross paths at a late-night cafe. Yamagata, a struggling actor, deceives his partner Yuko about his whereabouts and seeks refuge in the cafe. There, he encounters painter Uehara and his lover, Aya, and impulsively leaves the city to escape his routine. The escape proves unfulfilling, and after a night together, Yamagata returns to Yuko and Uehara's partner. However, Uehara, consumed by anger, stabs Yamagata. Yuko and Aya rush him to the hospital. Ultimately, Yamagata dies, and the two women depart. But in a startling turn, Yamagata unexpectedly revives.
