Description:
Over the course of a year, a series of stories unfold about sailors navigating the Black Sea coast. Each tale blends dramatic moments with touches of humor. Alexander makes the difficult decision to have his ship destroyed as part of an EU program. Immediately afterward, he begins constructing a new vessel, which is completed a year later. Dimitar has dedicated 45 years to life at sea, documenting it all with a VHS camcorder since 1987. In 2012, Hristo's fishing boat is impounded near Romania on poaching charges, leading to years of legal battles. Zoya and Plamen, teachers struggling with low pay, supplement their income by fishing for rapa whelks. Zoya captains the boat, while Plamen dives to find the shellfish.
