The Truth or Consequences of Delmas Howe (2004)

Delmas Howe, an artist from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico – a town known for its independent spirit – first gained recognition for traditional Western art. However, after becoming openly gay, he began painting images of the male form. He returns to his hometown to exhibit "Stations: A Gay Passion," a collection blending biblical imagery with homosexual eroticism, at a local museum. The exhibit sparks protests from the town's Christian Evangelical community. "The Truth or Consequences of Delmas Howe" is a documentary exploring his life and the controversy surrounding his art.
